The
main aim of digital game is to enable players to ‘experience’ as a character in
a game. In order to experience it, wood suggests that space is essential because
he mentions that “The space has to be recursive, based on feedback between the
state of the game (relations between the objects) and the state of the gamer,
which includes their knowledge, skill, mood, and attention. The idea of
recursive is based on 2ways: first, as another means of describing gamers’
engagement with space, one that gives a greater account of the participation of
technology; secondly, it gives us a way to thinking about play as a process of
creating space.” (Wood, 2012 pg. 87).
